Povzetek: Številni ljudje svoje hišne ljubljence obravnavajo kot življenjske spremljevalce in pomembne družinske člane. Zanje izbirajo najboljše izdelke in storitve. V tem prispevku se osredotočamo na hotele za hišne živali, ki oskrbujejo hišne ljubljence za čas odsotnosti njihovih lastnikov od doma, največkrat zaradi potovanja. Namen študije je analizirati ponudbo hotelov za hišne živali v Sloveniji in raziskati stališče lastnikov hišnih ljubljencev o tovrstnih hotelih. Podatki, pridobljeni iz primarnih virov (intervjuvanci v fokusni skupini) in iz sekundarnih virov (spletne strani hotelov za hišne živali), so bili zbrani v decembru leta 2020 v Sloveniji. Rezultati raziskave omogočajo vpogled v število in lokacije hotelov za živali v slovenskem prostoru, o vrsti živali, ki jih ti hoteli sprejemajo v varstvo, o vrsti storitev in o ceni. Prav tako nam rezultati razkrivajo pomisleke določenega segmenta lastnikov hišnih ljubjencev glede varovanja njihovih živali v tovrstnih hotelih. Ugotovitve nudijo uporabne informacije za ponudnike hotelov za hišne živali, kako izboljšati ponudbo ter nagovoriti potencialne stranke na način, da jim razblinijo dvome o strokovnosti oskrbe v tovrstnih hotelih.

Abstract: Many people treat their pets as life companions and important family members for whom they choose the best products and highest quality services. Among the activities intended for pets, hotels for pets have also been established. In such hotels, staff take care of the animals and thus solve the problems of the owners during their absence. In this paper, we focus on the activities of pet hotels. The purpose of the research is to investigate what pet owners think about hotels for pets and to present the offer of hotels for pets in Slovenia. The research took place at the end of 2020 in Slovenia. The results reveal the situation in the field of pet hotels in Slovenia. The findings provide important information for pet hotel providers on how to improve their offerings and reach out to potential customers.

ABSTRACT Differences between generations have existed since time immemorial, but they have probably never been as obvious as they are today. At present as many as four generations are facing each other at work places at the same time, each with their own habits and expectations, that are often difficult to reconcile. Consequently, the relations between them are very complex. It takes a lot of adaptation, understanding and tolerance on the part of everyone. Consumer habits are also changing radically between generations, moving from shopping in traditional shops with consumer goods to online shops. The digitalization of shopping habits has also been greatly accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has also affected the generation of traditionalists. Advertisers must also follow and adapt to the changing consumer habits of the future generations. Key words: Generations Y and Z, labour market, advertising, shopping habits
POVZETEK Razlike med generacijami obstajajo že od nekdaj, a verjetno še nikoli niso bile tako očitne, kot so danes. Trenutno se na delovnih mestih soočajo kar štiri generacije hkrati, vsaka s svojimi navadami in pričakovanji, ki jih je pogosto težko uskladiti. Posledično so odnosi med njimi zelo zapleteni. Potrebnega je veliko prilagajanja, razumevanja in strpnosti s strani enih in drugih. Korenito se spreminjajo tudi potrošniške navade med generacijami, nakupovanja se iz tradicionalnih trgovin z izdelki široke porabe seli v spletne trgovine. Digitalizacijo nakupovalnih navad je močno pospešila tudi pandemija COVID-19, ki je vplivala tudi na generacijo tradicionalistov. Temu morajo slediti tudi oglaševalci in se prilagajati spreminjajočim se potrošniškim navadam prihodnjih generacij. Ključne besede: generaciji Y in Z, trg dela, oglaševanje, nakupovalne navade

Povzetek Trajnostni razvoj je ideja o razvoju družbe, ki nasprotuje potrošni družbi, globalnemu kapitalizmu ter nenadzorovanemu izčrpavanju naravnih virov in onesnaževanju okolja. Spodbuja trajnostno naravnano kulturo, za katero so značilni socialna pravičnost in demokratični odnosi, odgovorno ravnanje z naravnimi viri in okoljem na način, da se dosežeta uravnotežen gospodarski razvoj in razvoj družbe, ki ne bi prikrajšal prihodnjih generacij. Izobraževanje in učenje za trajnostni razvoj zahtevata spremembo vrednot, mišljenja, vedenja in navad ljudi. V ospredje se postavlja potreba po uvajanju novih vsebin, metod izobraževanja ter po spodbujanju okolja za priložnostno učenje. V formalnem izobraževalnem procesu kot tudi drugih oblikah učenja bo treba narediti preskok od generiranja in pomnjenja podatkov k razvijanju samostojnega in kritičnega razmišljanja, samorefleksivnosti in medkulturnega dialoga. Prešli naj bi k višji stopnji znanja, ki je rezultat povezovanja različnih teoretičnih znanj in življenjskih izkušenj.

Abstract Sustainable development is the idea of developing a society that opposes a consumer society, global capitalism, and the uncontrolled explotation of natural resources and environmental pollution. It promotes a sustainable culture characterized by social justice and democratic relations, responsible management of natural resources and the environment, in a way that achieves balanced economic development and the development of society that does not disadvantage future generations. Education and learning for sustainable development require a change in people's values, thinking, behavior and habits. The need for the introduction of new contents, methods of education and the promotion of the environment for casual learning is at the forefront. In the formal educational process as well as in other forms of learning, it will be necessary to make a leap from data generation and memorization to the development of independent and critical thinking, reflexivity and intercultural dialogue. We should move to a higher level of knowledge, which is the result of combining different theoretical knowledge and life experiences.
